Ghazi Alam is a technology and innovation leader with over twenty years of senior international experience driving AI-powered transformation across complex systems and emerging markets. He holds a Master of Science in Resource & Environmental Economics from Cornell University and is a Fulbright Scholar.
As Vice President of Strategy & Operations at Exage, Ghazi leads enterprise-wide strategy, operational design, digital transformation, and advanced analytics initiatives. He oversees cross-functional leadership teams and manages a scalable service portfolio focused on AI/ML-enabled decision intelligence, cloud-based platforms, and data-driven performance optimization for governments, corporates and infrastructure sectors.
Ghazi is the founder of Hydra Consulting Services and architect of the Hydra Knowledge Platform (HKP)—an AI- and IoT-enabled cloud platform designed to solve real-time challenges across the Water–Energy–Food–Climate (WEF-C) nexus. HKP integrates telemetry, predictive analytics and knowledge engineering, enabling automation, governance intelligence and strategic planning at system scale.
Earlier, Ghazi led major consulting, technology and institutional reform assignments with global firms, development organizations and academic institutions, including advanced modelling, digital strategy design, large-scale infrastructure feasibility, and executive advisory to ministries and public agencies. He has taught analytics, economic modelling and decision systems at leading U.S. universities.
His core strengths include AI/ML strategy, digital platform architecture, decision intelligence systems, enterprise transformation, operational leadership, and business model innovation. He is committed to shaping resilient, tech-enabled futures and bridging technology and policy to deliver measurable social and economic impact in emerging-market environments.
Outside work, Ghazi is an avid hiker, mixed martial arts practitioner, and dedicated dog-lover.
